Privacy Policy

Bunny Matthews Archive ("we," "us," "the Archive") is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit based in New Orleans, Louisiana. This policy explains what information we collect from visitors and donors, how we use it, and the choices you have. We collect as little as possible and never sell or rent your data.

What we collect

Contact form submissions. When you fill out the form on our Contact page, we collect the name, email address, subject, and message you provide. These submissions are processed by Formspree on our behalf and delivered to our team email so we can respond to you.

Donations. When you make a gift through our Support page, you are taken to a checkout page hosted by Stripe. We never see or store your full payment card information — Stripe handles that. Stripe shares with us your name, email, and donation amount so we can send acknowledgments and maintain accurate records for our 501(c)(3) compliance.

Analytics — only with your consent. If you click "Accept" on the cookie banner, we use Google Analytics 4 to understand which pages are visited, how visitors arrive at the site, and which content is most useful. We anonymize IP addresses and do not use Google Analytics for advertising or remarketing. If you click "Decline," no analytics cookies or tracking scripts are loaded.

Functional storage. We use a small piece of browser storage (localStorage) to remember your cookie-banner choice so we don't ask again on every visit. This is technical, not tracking.

What we don't do

• We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information.
• We do not use advertising cookies, retargeting pixels, or social-media tracking.
• We do not build marketing profiles about you.
• We do not share your information with third parties except the service providers listed below, and only as needed to operate the site.

The Archive relies on a small number of trusted providers, each governed by their own privacy policies:

Your choices

You can change your analytics preference at any time by clearing your browser's storage for this site, which will surface the cookie banner again on your next visit. You may also email us to request access to, correction of, or deletion of any personal information we hold about you, and we will respond within a reasonable period.

Children

This site is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has submitted information, please contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The effective date at the top reflects the most recent revision. Material changes will be noted on this page.
